About ATS Foundation

ATSF exists to increase the Kingdom impact of Ashland Theological Seminary by independently raising, stewarding and granting funds exclusively for the Seminary’s use.

How We Got Here

Ashland Theological Seminary Foundation (ATSF) was established in the 1970’s as an independent non-profit organization, fully dedicated to preserving Ashland Theological Seminary’s core values and financial viability. Since that time, ATSF has worked with Ashland University as a collaborative funding partner to accentuate and sustain the unique mission of ATS in ways that are able to go beyond Ashland University’s budgetary priorities and policies.

ATSF is a 501 (c)(3) organization and is governed by a group of Trustees who dedicate their expertise and efforts to maximize investment yield, to honor donors’ intent, to ensure regulatory compliance and to support the values and impact of Ashland Theological Seminary.

Funding

ATSF raises and receives donations from individuals, families, and other aligned organizations. Donations are then placed in endowed or non-endowed funds. These funds can be restricted by donor intent or unrestricted to be used according to the needs of Ashland Theological Seminary and the discretion and policies of ATSF.

Funds are granted from ATSF to Ashland Theological Seminary through a grant request process. ATSF keeps a keen eye toward using our funds to generate sustaining elements that will advance the longevity and impact of Ashland Theological Seminary’s programs. While ATSF desires to partner with donors in fulfilling their interests, current endowed and non-endowed funds focus on areas such scholarships, marketing and fundraising, faculty development, and facility enhancement.

All funds granted to Ashland Theological Seminary by ATSF comply with the ATS grant request process, guidelines set by donor intent, spending and administrative policy, and government regulations.
